This handmade Turkish mosaic wall sconce features a vibrant multicolor globe with prominent orange, green, yellow, and blue star motifs. Unlit, the hand-cut natural glass tiles display a lively, intricate pattern against the ornate antique brass backplate, while illuminated, it casts a warm, festive kaleidoscope of colors across your walls.
Every one of our lamps is handmade in Turkey from start to finish — no two are alike. The exact mosaic pattern in the photo cannot be reproduced, so the lamp you receive is the most unique lamp in the world. We use only quality natural glass — never coloured-dye glass — for a softer, richer light. CE certified and safe.
How it is made
- First, skilled artisans hand-cut sheets of quality natural glass into precise geometric shapes, selecting vibrant orange, green, yellow, and blue tones to form the intricate star motifs.
- Next, these colorful glass pieces and tiny glass beads are carefully placed one by one onto a clear glass globe, securing the vibrant bohemian pattern in place.
- A traditional plaster grout is then applied across the globe and carefully polished away, revealing the brilliant saturation of the multicolor jewel tones and clear beadwork.
- Finally, the unique glass shade is securely mounted to a beautifully detailed, hand-aged antique brass wall plate, complete with an energy-efficient LED bulb for immediate use.
