Amber Mosaic Lamps

Amber glass glows warm and golden when lit, which is why an amber mosaic lamp makes a room feel cosy in the evening. It comes mainly in table, pendant and wall styles, each handmade in Türkiye, and some designs add touches of red or brown for a deeper glow.

Why choose an amber mosaic lamp

Amber is one of the warmest colours of glass we use. Switched on, an amber mosaic lamp casts a golden glow with patterned shadows across the surrounding walls, and set on its hand-aged antique brass body, the whole lamp reads as one warm tone. If you want a lamp that makes a room feel cosy in the evening rather than bright, amber is the colour to start with.

The warmth comes from the glass itself. We use natural glass, never coloured-dye or stained glass and never paint, which is why golden ambers glow so richly when the light passes through. Each globe is hand-cut and set piece by piece in Türkiye, with beads and mirror tile among the amber, then grouted and polished. No two are identical, so the exact pattern in the photos is yours alone. Before it is boxed, every lamp is wired, fitted with its bulb and switched on to check.

How to choose an amber lamp

Amber glass comes mainly in our single-globe styles, with the occasional chandelier.

  • Table lamps: a swan neck table lamp hangs the amber globe free from a curved brass neck; a classic lamp sets it on a compact base.
  • Pendants and wall sconces: an amber mosaic pendant light warms a dining table from above, and a sconce does the same for a hallway wall.
  • Size: most amber designs come with a large 15 cm globe, with some in medium 12.5 cm and a few in small 10 cm.
  • Pattern: plain amber designs give an even glow, while amber star designs set a star motif into the glass. Some mix in brown or red for a deeper, richer tone.

Where amber looks best

Amber is made for living rooms in the evening, where its golden light warms a sofa corner or a sideboard. It suits a dining room just as well, and in a bedroom it gives a warm, romantic mood. In a hallway, an amber sconce or pendant makes a welcoming first impression. The colour sits naturally with wood, brass, terracotta and cream.

For contrast, put amber beside blue mosaic lamps: natural glass lets both golden ambers and deep blues glow, and together they make a striking pair. An amber lamp also makes a thoughtful housewarming gift, because warm light is easy to live with in almost any room. Two lamps save 10% each and three or more save 15% each, in any designs and colours.

Bulb, safety and care

An E14 LED bulb comes in the box with every single-globe amber lamp, and chandeliers include one for each globe, so your lamp lights up the day it arrives. The bulb is warm-coloured, and LED runs at a low heat that is kind to the hand-set glass.

Each amber lamp is CE certified; table and floor lamps come with a plug, while pendants, wall sconces and chandeliers are hardwired by an electrician. Now and then, switch off the power and dust the globe and the brass with a soft, dry cloth, keeping abrasive cleaners and moisture away. Order before 3pm and delivery to a UK address is free the next day.

Questions about amber mosaic lamps

Answers from the people who make and ship every lamp.

What colour light does an amber mosaic lamp give?

A warm, golden glow, with patterned shadows thrown across the walls. Some designs mix amber with brown or red glass for a deeper tone. The LED bulb we include is warm-coloured; a different bulb may affect the tone.

Which styles come in amber?

Swan neck and classic table lamps, pendants and wall sconces, mostly with large 15 cm globes and some medium or small, plus the occasional cluster chandelier.

Amber or multicoloured: which should I choose?

Choose amber for one warm, consistent glow that suits a calm room. Choose multicoloured if you want reflections in many colours at once.

What are amber star designs?

They set a star motif into the globe, in tones of amber, brown, clear or white glass. When the lamp is lit, the star is picked out in a warm, golden glow, and some cast a starburst pattern on the walls. Plain amber designs give a more even glow.

Can I mix amber lamps with other colours for the multi-buy saving?

Yes. Any two single-globe table, pendant or wall lamps save 10% each, and three or more save 15% each, in any designs and colours, so an amber lamp bought with a blue or multicoloured one still counts.
