Blue Mosaic Lamps

Cool blue and turquoise patterns spread across the walls when a blue mosaic lamp is lit. Our blue glass comes in table, pendant and wall styles and a few statement pieces, each handmade in Türkiye, and some designs pair blue with white beads or mirrored glass.

Why choose a blue mosaic lamp

Blue glass gives a different kind of light from our warm colours. Switched on, a blue mosaic lamp casts cool, soothing tones across the walls, from deep sapphire to soft turquoise, and the pattern of the globe is traced out in shades of blue. Where amber warms a room, blue calms it, which makes it a natural choice for bedrooms and quiet corners.

The depth of colour comes from natural glass, never coloured-dye or stained glass and never paint, so deep blues glow when the light passes through rather than looking flat. Each globe is hand-cut and set by hand in Türkiye, sometimes with light blue beads, white glass or mirrored pieces among the blue, then grouted and polished. Because every piece is placed by hand, no two blue lamps are ever quite the same.

How to choose a blue lamp

Start with the shade of blue, then the style.

  • Shade: some designs keep to deep sapphire or cobalt for a strong, rich colour; others mix in light blue and turquoise beads for a softer glow, or white for a crisp blue and white look. Blue star designs set a star motif into the glass.
  • Style: blue comes as swan neck and classic table lamps, pendants and mosaic wall lamps, plus a few 5-globe chandeliers and floor lamps.
  • Size: almost every blue design comes with a large 15 cm globe, which shows the most glass and gives the pattern room to spread.

Where blue looks best

Blue is at its best where you want to slow down. A pair of blue table lamps either side of a bed creates a calm, relaxing mood, and a blue lamp on a desk in a study or beside a reading chair keeps the light cool and easy. In a hallway, a blue pendant or sconce turns a plain wall into something closer to a seascape of light. In a living room, a single blue lamp among warmer colours adds a cool accent. Blue sits naturally with white walls, natural wood and soft greys.

For a calmer, all-pale look, combine blue with white mosaic lamps; for contrast, put it beside amber, whose golden glow sets off the blue. Mixing colours still counts towards the multi-buy saving: 10% off each of two lamps, 15% off each of three or more.

Bulb, safety and care

Each blue lamp arrives with its E14 LED bulbs, one per globe, ready to light. We supply a warm-coloured bulb; swap it for another and the tone of the blue may shift, so try the one we include first. LED keeps the heat low, which helps protect the handmade globe.

Every blue lamp is CE certified; table and floor lamps come with a plug, and pendants, wall sconces and chandeliers are hardwired by an electrician. To clean, switch off the power, then dust the glass with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding abrasive cleaners and excess moisture. UK delivery is free and next-day on orders placed before 3pm, and eligible items can be returned within 30 days.

Questions about blue mosaic lamps

Answers from the people who make and ship every lamp.

What is the difference between deep blue and turquoise designs?

Deep sapphire or cobalt designs give a strong, rich blue. Designs with light blue and turquoise beads give a softer glow, and blue and white designs look crisper, with pale accents in the pattern.

Is a blue lamp a good choice for a bedroom?

Yes. Blue casts calm, cool tones that suit a bedroom, and a matching pair of blue table lamps either side of the bed gives a relaxing, balanced look.

Which sizes come in blue?

Almost every blue design comes with a large 15 cm globe. That gives a swan neck lamp 43 cm tall, a classic lamp 37 cm, a wall sconce 35 cm and a pendant 59 cm high.

Which bulb should I use in a blue lamp?

Use the E14 LED bulb we include: it is warm-coloured and fits straight away. A different bulb may affect the brightness, the tone of the blue and the pattern on your walls.

Which colours go well with blue?

White keeps a room cool and calm, and blue and white designs already combine the two. Amber gives the strongest contrast, its golden glow setting off the blue. Any two single-globe lamps, in any colours, save 10% each.
