Spiral Mosaic Chandeliers

Spiral mosaic chandeliers cascade 4, 5, 7 or 10 hand-cut glass globes from a hand-aged antique brass frame, so the light falls from several heights at once. Like all our lamps, they are handmade in Türkiye, and an E14 LED bulb comes with every globe.

Why choose a spiral mosaic chandelier

A spiral mosaic chandelier does not hang its globes in a single ring. They cascade from the frame at different heights, so from below you look up into a column of colour, and from the side you see each globe in turn. Because the light comes from several heights at once, the patterns overlap on the walls and ceiling and the whole room takes on the colour of the glass.

In Türkiye, every 15 cm globe is cut and set by hand from natural glass, mirror tile and mosaic beads, before grouting and polishing. Most spiral chandeliers combine several designs, so each globe throws a different pattern, while a few repeat one design throughout for a calmer look. The frame is hand-aged antique brass, and because every globe is made by hand, no two chandeliers are the same.

How to choose your spiral chandelier

The number of globes sets the size. Check the overall height against your ceiling before anything else.

  • 4 globes: 110 cm overall height, 25 cm ceiling drop, 20 cm frame. The most compact spiral.
  • 5 globes: 110 cm overall, 30 cm drop, 25 cm frame. A little fuller at the same height.
  • 7 globes: 140 cm overall, 30 cm drop, 30 cm frame. A real centrepiece for a dining room or entrance hall.
  • 10 globes: 145 cm overall, 40 cm drop, 36 cm frame. The grandest spiral, for a stairwell or a high ceiling.

Where people walk beneath it, leave comfortable headroom under the lowest globe. If a size is out of stock when you visit, its product page will take your email so we can tell you when it returns. If you prefer a rounder, more gathered shape, compare the cluster chandeliers, or see every style together in mosaic chandeliers.

Where a spiral chandelier looks best

A stairwell shows a spiral at its best: you see it from below as you climb, then from the side, then from above. An entrance hall with some height is just as good, and over a dining table a 5-globe or 7-globe spiral spreads colour across the room through a long dinner. It also brings warmth to a living room, sun room or reading nook, and in a restaurant or hotel lobby it gives guests something to look up at.

Most spirals mix shades of red, blue, green and amber, so they sit happily with multicoloured mosaic lamps elsewhere in the house. Buy a single-globe lamp with any chandelier and save £10 on the lamp.

Bulbs, safety and care

Each globe takes an E14 bulb, and every bulb is included as an LED bulb: 4, 5, 7 or 10, one per globe. LED keeps the heat low in every globe of the cascade, which helps protect the mosaic.

Every spiral chandelier is CE certified and hardwired, so a qualified electrician fixes it to a ceiling light point. To clean, switch off the power, then dust each globe and the frame with a soft, dry cloth, steadying the globe as you go.

Questions about spiral mosaic chandeliers

Answers from the people who make and ship every lamp.

Will a spiral chandelier suit a staircase?

Yes, it is one of the best places for one, because the cascade is seen from below and from the side as you climb. For a tall stairwell, a taller piece fills the height well: 140 cm overall with 7 globes, or 145 cm with 10 when that size is in stock.

Which spiral fits a smaller room?

The 4-globe spiral, with a 20 cm frame and a 25 cm ceiling drop, is the most compact. The 5-globe piece is the same 110 cm overall height on a 25 cm frame, a little fuller without being taller.

Do all the globes on a spiral match?

Usually not. Most spirals combine several hand-cut designs, so each globe throws its own pattern, while a few repeat one design throughout for a calmer look.

Does a spiral chandelier need an electrician?

Yes. A spiral chandelier has no plug: it is hardwired to a ceiling light point and should be fitted by a qualified electrician. If you have a question about your ceiling, chat with us before you order; we are available 24/7.

What colours do spiral chandeliers come in?

The majority are multicoloured, mixing ruby, sapphire, emerald and amber glass. There are also warm-toned and cool-toned sets, and a few that keep to white or green.
